Control: Resonant Controls Guide
Updated Mar 2, 2026 · 4 min read
Default bindings, combat inputs, and recommended remaps for readable combat.

Official DualSense note: press D-pad down to open The Gap. All other binds should be read from the in-game Controls menu—this page does not invent a full scheme.
How It Works
Players enter the Gap (build/customization space tied to Dylan's psyche) by pressing down on the DualSense D-pad.
Control Resonant is built around melee combat with the Aberrant rather than the Service Weapon gunplay loop of the original Control.
Not yet verified: Full default maps for keyboard, DualSense, and other pads are not copied here until captured from the game.
Step-by-Step
- Open Settings → Controls (confirm the label in your build).
- Find melee, dodge or evade, Combat Abilities, and The Gap.
- On DualSense, confirm D-pad down still opens The Gap after remaps.
- Test in a regular encounter before a Resonant.
Tips
Keep melee and your most-used Combat Ability on inputs you can hit while moving. This game is built around that loop.
