Control: Resonant Tips & Tricks
Updated Mar 10, 2026 · 6 min read
Practical Control: Resonant tips for settings, combat habits, exploration, and progression—each with context on why it helps.

Practice the official melee → Combat Ability → execution loop, open The Gap after new unlocks, and reread the mission log when you feel lost.
How It Works
Melee hits restore the Combat Ability resource.
Combat Abilities can stun enemies, opening them up for executions.
Executions temporarily boost melee damage.
Combat habits
Do not drain every meter on trash. Save an ability for a stun opening, then execute.
Full loop: Combat Tips and Tricks.
Build habits
Players enter the Gap (build/customization space tied to Dylan's psyche) by pressing down on the DualSense D-pad.
After a Resonant ability unlock, reopen The Gap so Talents and Artifacts still match the new spend.
When you are stuck
Progression includes Dylan’s story path plus World Quests and other mission types that open systems and routes.
Use Where to Go Next before backtracking into a gated zone.
